Race Notes:

The First True/False Beer mile went down on a cold wintery evening, in honor of the True/False film fest. We suspect the attendance was poor due to weather, as spectators considerably outnumbered the athletes. Highlights included another dominating performance by Pat Hanson, with newcomers Eric Bunch, Karl Gilpin and Elliot Usher finishing strongly in second, third and fourth. The Matts (Laye and Dreier) almost got beat by a girl but pulled it together in the last 300m to avoid embarrassment. Jackie Pearce was DFL but drowned her sorrows at the @action party. Costumes were truly the pinnacle in this mile with Bunch, MacIntyre and Pearce sporting 1990?s duds from the UofS and UofC women?s teams. Wow, did those boys ever look hawt in body suits! A naked cowboy also made an appearance, and appeared to be in fine form with 1200m to go but declined to finish due to ?boot issues? confounding his running ability.
