Race Notes:

The OC Beer Mile Championships attracted a field of athletes from a variety of track clubs throughout Southern California and even an Australia competitor. Roughly 20 competitors started and all who started finished. There were NO DNFs but there were at least two competitors who had to complete a fifth lap. Some competitors wished to remain anonymous so are not listed in the results.

It took Christian (holding PRs of 3:57 for the mile and 3:37 for the 1500) setting a new Orange County Beer Mile Super Master Record of 7:05 to dethrone the OC Beer Mile Champion crown from Habib who held the title for the past two years.

Despite being lapped by Christian, Habib claims that his conversion time from a 5K on the beer graded tables is superior to Christian’s performance. We were all left scratching our heads wondering where the beer grading conversion tables could be found.
