Race Notes:

We Came, We Rolled, We Thugged.

A few hearty souls, namely Vince, Oz, DiVo and Solley rolled down to Mystic tonight to be a part of the best sporting event in existence: the beer mile. While only Vinny Lemonade and Boatswain Bissell participated, it was truly a sight to behold. As I recall, there were at least 2 feet of snow on the track, and icy slush was falling vigorously throughout in the dark, frigid night. Nevertheless, the two seasoned veterans stepped up and drank 4 beers to accompany 4 laps, as is their style. Bissell jumped out to an early lead, and his fitness level helped him maintain it, despite the bone-chilling wind coming around the corner at 250 meters. Brrrrrrrr!!!!

When all was said and done, Vince was naked in spite of the sub-zero temperatures, and Bissell was rocking his neon green Kenya/Goucher FILA jersey.
