Race Notes:

The New Year's Even Pre-funk beer mile took place on Western Washington University's campus in Bellingham, WA on 12/31/2004.

The cold weather made the competition especially brutal (most participants dressed in sweats, gloves, and hats). Furthermore, Jenny, Mika, and Adam consumed a box of Crisp White Franzia the previous evening. Tricia drank a stout beer prior to the race, which may have contributed to her hypersensitive upchuck reflex.

This race was a way for a group of great friends to come together and challenge one another, but mostly it was just an accelerated method of getting drunk before later New Year's activities.
