Race Notes:

This race had almost as much hype as substance, and it served as a make-up for the race that failed to take place just the night before. Thrown together on short notice, the race was run from Tigger's driveway 1/8th of a mile down the block and back in order to avoid attracting undue attention from the fuzz. (Some of us may or may not have outstanding warrants. We're not saying.) It's also worth noting that pretty much everyone had eaten a large meal within 2 hours of the race.

JKPS and Shelby deserve special commendation for enduring the changeover site and keeping the times (with splits even.) BK also deserves props because he was the only one who didn't puke during the race. He did christen the tree in the front yard just following the festivities however.

In conclusion, even though we all swore we would never do it again; I foresee another beer mile in some of our futures. Maybe next time we can keep the streets of Shreveport, or wherever we may be, clean.

[2nd place finisher's note: The winner and myself did not emit on our own accord but were unnaturally influenced by Tigger's mass evacuation. And his later mass evacuation. And the reeking smell. And the horrifying sound that stuck in your inner ear. And the lingering mental image as you turned your head in disgust. I must congratulate myself on not immediately hurling into BK's open boxster, but I could not resist the gag reflex. The winner (this is how bad it was) was not present during the second exchange but later found glory in the final exchange as he heard the tale retold. My greatest congratulations to BK for holding it all in during the race. Too bad Tigger beat you, sucka.]
