Here are the official rules for the Beer Mile and its most popular variations. These rules must be followed in order to be considered for a record attempt or to appear on the leaderboard.

This is the one that started it all. The Kingston Rules were written in 1993 to formalize the Beer Mile. Every Beer Mile since then has been raced under this legendary ruleset — four beers, four laps, no shortcuts, no excuses.
