The event opens the Soulshine Blues and Groove Festival (http://www.ridgeland.soulshinepizza.com/). The Blue mile races include a usatf certified mile course, a kids mile and the beer mile (our version is a beer at the start, a beer at the halfway mark and a beer at the finish)
